Cinesite's physical effects division Effects Associates lead the field in physical and mechanical effects, weather and atmospherics, maritime effects and effects supervision. We also house one of the most comprehensive stores of effects equipment for hire to productions of all scales.

Effects Associates can service all your physical effects requirements providing pre-production, budgeting, production supervision, crew and equipment hire for any project from entire feature films to small shoots.
Our services are completely flexible to the client's requirements, with our own fleet of transport and mobile workshops available to be sent worldwide along with crew and equipment.
Effects Associates are the only in-studio facility at Pinewood, with our large effects equipment base we service the massive outdoor Paddock Tank with storm effects, filtration and heating of the tank's water with custom built kit. We also have our own adapted in water tractor.

Equipment Hire
Effects Associates has one of the largest ranges of effects equipment available for hire in Europe. We keep a wide variety of standard equipment such as wind machines, smoke machines and steam machines as well as larger and more specialist items such as wave making machines, glass tanks and gimbals.
Specialist consumables including fake blood, cobweb solution, various forms of snow and other effects consumables are also available.
